They killed themselves after being bullied for being gay. It's not okay. They didn't deserve that end.
It's not okay for us to be so judgmental. God didn't call us to be so cruel.
I don't give a fuck how many followers I lose for the following statement. But to the person who wrote the comment above.. Gods the prick who began the whole injustice of homosexuals you idiot. Fuck
^the above comment!
if you dont reblog this there is something wroooong with you , so please stop reblogging hipster bitches and nutella and reblog this , thankyou.
I am in no way religious, but don't be a cunt and start calling 'God'a prick. It's mostly his dimwitted followers that cause homosexuality. And not just religious people. I know many atheists who still think its wrong for two people of the same gender to be together.
My argument all the time is that if God really hated gay people, and he created everything, he wouldn't have created homosexuality.
MAYBE IF WE ALL STOP FUCKING HATING ON PEOPLE FOR BEING DIFFERENT/RELIGIOUS ETC THEN THE WORLD WOULD BE A BETTER PLACE. HATING ON RELIGIOUS PEOPLE ISN'T GUNNA MAKE THEM STOP SO JUST CHILL.^^^^
The above comment is amazing!this fucking song.
Actually the Christian God never damns homosexuality.
That's just interpretation by followers of the religion.
There are very few verses that explicitly mention homosexual actions.
- Sodom and Gomorrah
Probably the most well known story used to damn homosexuality. I mean, we've ignorantly adopted the word "Sodomy" as a synonym for any sex that isn't penis/vagina. But in fact the fall of the city was not explicitly connected to homosexuality itself at all.
" Then the Lord said, "The outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so grievous that I will go down and see if what they have done is as bad as the outcry that has reached me. If not, I will know."" -Genesis 18:20-21 (NIV)
Sodom was known for being rife with evils. Theft, crime, rape among the few. In fact, the final sin that led to the fall was not homosexuality at all.
It was rape.
"Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom—both young and old—surrounded the house. They called to Lot, "Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them."" -Genesis 19:4-5 (NIV)
This passage makes it clear that it was common for the citizens of Sodom to sexually assault visitors of their city, against their will. Sex has been used as a method of humiliating and/or showing dominance. This is not contained only to male/male rape, but all kinds. But the Bible is very male-oriented, I know. So it was natural to the time that the angels sent by God be depicted as male.- Leviticus' Many Rules
"Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination." -Leviticus 18:22 (KJV)
"If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." -Leviticus 20:13
These are possibly the most difficult scriptures to tackle for the pure sake that they're chanted like a mantra of the LGBT damning community. I'll try to make this short, but this topic deserves a whole BOOK of explaining.
There's a lot of theory that the original wording of these passages, particularly the use of the Hebrew word for "abomination" actually suggests that this verse is actually referring to the use of sex to gain favors politically in society. Of course, this would be restricted to male/male sex, as women were afforded few rights.
Then there's the fact that Leviticus is an insane rule book that no Christian actually follows.
Do you eat pork or shellfish? You deserve to die.
Are you wearing two different kinds of cloth (polyester and cotton, for example)? Die.
Have you planted two different seeds in the same plot of dirt? I'm sorry we need to stone you.
Have you cut the hair at the sides of your head? Well arent you just the little sinner?
You see, Leviticus is not in fact a book of "These are the things God hates". Leviticus is an old Jewish collection of rules based off of their cultural traditions and safety procedures. Certain foods were banned because they were dangerous to consume for the people of that place and time. The overpopulation that our world is suffering with right now was not present in their minds. It was not uncommon for generations of family lines to disappear due to death caused by famine, illness, or human interaction. So naturally there was a heavy focus on continuing your family line, and anything that worked against this was considered dangerous.
Homosexuality was considered dangerous, it meant you had no children to continue your line. And guess what? The old Jewish teachings also tell that a heterosexual union that bears no children is an abomination.- Natural vs Unnatural Relationships
"Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error." -Romans 1:26-27 (NIV)
What is natural?
Natural (adj): having a specified character by nature; inborn; having a normal or usual character.
Natural things are those things which you would do, well, naturally. You may naturally overevaluate situations. It may natural for you to choose chicken over beef. Why does this matter?
Because the Apostle Paul, who wrote the above verse, said that it was wrong for people to exchange NATURAL relationships for UNNATURAL ones. Men exchanged their natural sexuality for one that is unnatural.
This is not damning homosexuality. If anything it's defending it. If you are LGBT, you have no obligation to exchange that which is natural for you for unnatural relationships just because you're told to. In fact, it's considered wrong to do so. Live your life as you are naturally meant to. Be it with a man or a woman or neither.
In fact, the last two verses that touch on homosexual relationships are also written by Paul and touch on such similar subjects that I wont waste your time going into them in detail. They are 1 Corinthians 6:9 AND 1 Timothy 1:10.
Then there's the fact, and I know someone somewhere will cringe over this, that Paul, while an Apostle and faithful servant, was not in fact God. The things he said were not whispered into his ear by Jesus. He was a man. A man with flaws just like the rest of us. And just like the rest of us he misinterprets and gets things wrong sometimes. It happens.- Jesus said NOTHING about homosexuality.
That's right. Not even a word.
Weird. God comes to earth to teach people how to live according to His will, and he says nothing about something that some people seem to think is the most damning sin? Huh. It's almost like, bear with me here, the God of Christianity doesn't damn homosexuals at all. How shocking. The point is, Christianity and anti-LGBT sentiments are not synonymous. Please check your knowledge at the door.
